Live long and noodle

In China extra long "Longevity Noodles" are a Lunar New Year staple. Extra long and uncut, these noodles symbolize long life. Make your own with this simple 7-ingredient recipe that only takes 20 minutes start-to-finish.

Try a dumpling (or five)

A symbol of wealth, dumplings are a tradition at Lunar New Year. The belief is that the more one eats, the more wealth they'll have in the new year. Dumplings can be time-consuming to make at home, but there are a wide variety of frozen options available in most grocery stores. Check out this list of some of the best (and some not-so-good) frozen dumplings.

Orange you glad it's Lunar New Year?

Oranges symbolize fullness and wealth. They're displayed during Lunar New Year to bring luck. Want to join the party and spruce up your pad with an orange display? Here's some Pinterest inspo.
